Malta – Italy Contact Seminar

Malta-Italy Contact Seminar 08A contact seminar with our neighbouring island of Sicily was organised in November. The aim was to create more eTwinning project between Malta and Sicily. The italian NSS, Alexandra Tosi came over to Malta together with 10 sicilian teachers and a head teacher. The italian teachers were joined by some maltese teachers during this three-day contact seminar.

It all started on the 21st November through the “New Portal Seminar” that was nationally organized at St. Clare’s College, Girls’ Junior Lyceum in Pembroke. On Saturday and Sunday, the workshops took place at the eLearning Centre, Floriana.

“The New eTwinning Portal” Seminar

seminar_08_001.jpgAt the beginning of November, the new eTwinning Portal was launched, bringing with it a more appealing look but also many new features and tools. The new portal¬†is now more interactive and easy to use. This portal was launched in Malta during a seminar held at St. Clare’s College, Girls’ Junior Lyceum in Pembroke on the 21st November 2008. All teaching staff from Malta and Gozo were invited to attend.

PDW in Ischia

Workshop discussionA Professional Development Workshop was held in Ischia from the 16th to the 18th October 2008, organised by the Italian National Support Service. It was aimed for the eTwinning ambassadors. eTwinning ambassadors are voluntary eTwinners who help in the spreading of eTwinning in large countries.  Malta was represented by myself, the National eTwinning Coordinator.
