eCard winner at Stella Maris School Balzan

                               The winner of the Primary Category of the eCard competition is Paul Zammit of Stella Maris, Balzan. The eTwinning NSS visited the school to congratulate him and presented him with an mp3 player.  Ms. Calleja, the head of school was very pleased with her pupil’s achievements.

eCard winners at De La Salle College

                                                              On Thursday, 22nd January 2009, the eTwinning NSS visited De La Salle College in Cottenera where she had the pleasure to present two webcams to the “Christmas Fever in Europe” eCard Competiton runner ups. Thomas Zammit and David Baldacchino won second place in the secondary category of this competition. Mr. Chris Saliba, their teacher and the headmaster of the school were very pleased with their students’ achievements.

Gozo eTwinning Seminars

Two seminars to introduce eTwinning were organized in the island of Gozo on the 16th January 2009.  The first seminar was held in the morning and all heads or assistant heads of the Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary schools, both state and private, were invited to attend. Almost all schools participated. During the seminar, many of the participating schools registered their school for the first time. Some others were already registered but the head/assistant head of those schools edited their profiles.

eCard Competition “Christmas Fever in Europe”

Monday 12th January has been the deadline for all entries from Primary and Secondary schools for the eTwinning competition for an eCard with the theme “Christmas Fever in Europe“. Since this year it is also the European Year of Innovation and Creativity, we have given a great weight to how unique and creative the authors of the ecards were. The choice of the winners was a bit difficult since we had a number of good quality entries.
