Michael Purves and Oleflemming Nielsen, two experienced eTwinners, are launching their project ‘A Snapshot of Europe’, for Primary school teachers and students. This project will be on a large scale and the aim is to have one teacher from every country participating.
Ms. Nielsen writes:
“The aim of the project will be for your children to use digital cameras (or mobile telephones with cameras) to take photos in a range of categories. (Landscape, nature, people, perhaps sport.) I will create folders in the eTwinning Twinspace for all photos from each class to be uploaded, and once they are all there, each country will need to decide on their favourite picture in each category, (from their own class) which they will THEN nominate and upload to the project blog, which I will create. Once each class has their own preferred picture in each category uploaded to the blog, we will all (like in Schoolovision) spend a week or so looking at all the work, and deciding on our favourites. We plan to use FlashMeeting webcam conferencing again to cast our votes for each favourite photo, and then we will name the winners overall in each category.”
Now the project founders are looking for one Maltese partner to complete their group. Contact has already been made with the Malta’s National Support Service. If you are interested in this project, contact Ms. Amanda Debattista on 25982150 or by e-mail at amromica@gmail.com. Remember, only one Maltese school can participate, so if you are interested, please get in touch with Ms. Debattista as soon as possible.
Good luck with your project!
