eTwinning Training Abroad for Secondary School Teachers (Middle and Senior) – April 2016

Screen Shot 2016-03-01 at 11.05.24The eTwinning National Support Service is pleased to announce that it will be participating in two International Seminars focusing on Digital Literacy and Online Collaborative Tools. The training sessions will be held con-currently but in different countries, and are open to secondary school teachers across different subject areas.  This call was published on DeL Letter Circular 12-2016, Application to Attend eTwinning Training Abroad.

eTwinning Seminar in Poland

The eTwinning Seminar in Poland will be held in Warsaw between the 14 – 17 of April.

Target audience: Secondary School Teachers currently teaching Mathematics and Science Subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated Science). For this seminar, the eTwinning National Support Service will be sponsoring 3 participants. Accommodation, Conference Fee and Flights will be booked by the eTwinning National Support Service.

eTwinning Seminar in Cyprus

Screen Shot 2016-03-01 at 11.06.33The eTwinning Seminar in Cyprus will be held in Limassol between the 15-17 of April.

Target audience: Secondary School Teachers across all Subject Areas. For this seminar, the eTwinning National Service will be sponsoring 2 participants. Accommodation, Conference Fee and Flights will be booked by the eTwinning National Support Service.

Application Form and Eligibility Criteria.

The Maltese NSS will be sponsoring a total of 5 educators three for the eTwinning Seminar in Poland, and a further two for the eTwinning Seminar in Cyprus.

Registration to eTwinning prior to participation, as well as registration to an eTwinning Project with a European Partner whilst in Poland or Cyprus are mandatory. Seminar participants may also be asked to share their experience abroad with other educators on locally organized eTwinning events.More information about eTwinning participation and enrollment can be found on www.etwinning.net.

Applications, endorsed by the Head of School, must reach the eTwinning National Support Service Office via email (etwinning@ilearn.edu.mt) by not later than Monday 7th March 2016.  The application link can be found HERE.

Screen Shot 2016-03-01 at 11.07.48Participants must state the eTwinning Seminar they are interested in attending (Cyprus or Poland). Prospective participants may only apply for one of the two professional development opportunities offered during this period.

Participants will be selected on the strength of their application, project idea and willingness to work with others.

Educators who have participated in eTwinning Seminars or Professional Development Workshops abroad sponsored by eTwinning in the last 5 scholastic years will not be considered.
