eTwinning/EUPA Meeting for Members of the Senior Management Teams

Screen Shot 2016-05-16 at 11.44.50The eTwinning National Support Service, in collaboration with the European Union Programmes Agency (EUPA) is pleased to announce a joint training session for members of the Senior Management Team who are interested in introducing eTwinning initiatives in schools. The training session will also serve participants to familiarize themselves with funding opportunities available through Erasmus +. College Principals, Education Officers and Heads of Department are also invited to attend.

eTwinning in Practice Workshops – Apply Today!

As part of the eTwinning Celebration week the eTwinning NSS is proud to offer a programme of activities spanning across 16th – 21st May 2016.

Workshops at the San Gorg Preca Primary School – Hamrun GP

Teachers and students are invited to attend sessions on Digital Literacy and eTwinning, which will be animated by colleagues at San Gorg Preca Primary School Hamrun GP. There will be different slots for primary and secondary schools.

Attendance is strictly by prior booking and on a first come first served basis. It is important that each class is accompanied two members of staff (teachers/LSA’s etc.). Transport will be provided and funded by the eTwinning NSS.

eTwinning Training Abroad for Secondary School Teachers (Middle and Senior) – April 2016

Invitation for Maltese Teachers to attend eTwinning Seminar in Poiters

Screen Shot 2016-02-15 at 12.38.19The eTwinning National Support Service is pleased to announce that it will be participating in the Professional Development Workshop on Digital Media and Education which will be held in Poitiers, France from the 1-3 April 2016. The seminar will focus on how to integrate Digital Media and Communication Technologies in the 21st Century Classroom.

Information about the Seminar

Seminar attendees will be able to participate in various workshops, including Presentation of eTwinning Projects on Digital Media, Web We Want, eSafety and reliability of Internet content, as well as data protection issues. Workshops will take place in parallel session so participants will be able to attend different sessions according to their areas of interest.

eTwinning Online Training – Term 2/2016

Screen Shot 2016-01-13 at 12.58.28The eTwinning National Support Service is pleased to publish the schedule for online training sessions planned for the second term of the scholastic year. The training, which will be held in February/March 2016, will be open to Maltese and Gozitan Educators (Teachers, Kindergarten Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and members of the Senior Management Teams in Schools) as well as educators hailing from eTwinning Plus Countries. These include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Tunisia. Thus, these online sessions will not only provide practical and invaluable insights on the various aspects of eTwinning and Online Collaborative Projects, but they will also help Maltese participants to become acquainted with other Educators across Europe and beyond.

eTwinning Project Showcase Seminar 2015

To mark the end of a successful eTwinning year, the Maltese eTwinning National Support Service is organising the fourth edition of the eTwinning Project Showcase Seminar. During this seminar, a number of teachers who have successfully ran projects during the scholastic year 2014-1015 will be presenting their work together with their students and partners, in their TwinSpaces. There will be a mix of short projects run by new eTwinners, and projects run by more experienced eTwinners. Projects presented will be both from the Primary and the Secondary Sectors.

eTwinning Training for SMT – April 2015

The eTwinning National Support Service (Malta) will be organising an awareness seminar for members of the Senior Management Team in both Primary and Secondary schools. The seminar will be held on Thursday 30th April 2015 at the eLearning Centre (Lab 3), Floriana, from 9:00 – 11:00.

The benefits of eTwinning for the school include:

  • direct contact with other education professionals in European countries,
  • an awareness of teaching and/or management approaches used in other countries,
  • sharing and celebration of teachers’ own professional expertise and experience.
