eTwinning Back to School Competition: The Winners!

The eTwinning National Support Service is pleased to announce the winners of the eTwinning Back to School Lottery:  

Primary School Prize Winner:  Maria Regina College, Gharghur Primary

Secondary School Prize Winner:  Gozo College, Victoria Girls’ Secondary

With the Project:  My Number 1

These two projects have each won a digital video camera for the school.

The other teachers who have participated in the eTwinning Back to School Campaign Competition by registering a project between the 1st September and the 30th November 2011 will  receive an eTwinning Desk Clock.  The full list of eligible teachers can be found here.  In order to pick up your Desk Clock, kindly contact Ms. Amanda Debattista at the eTwinning National Support Service on 25982150 or etwinning@schoolnet.gov.mt and make an appointment.

eTwinning Back to School Campaign Seminars: November Overview

The eTwinning National Support Service has organised three seminars for the Back to School Campaign during the month of November.  These seminars have targeted teachers of different levels and across all teaching grades.  The first two seminars, eTwinning Desktop and eTwinning TwinSpace Seminars were practical, hands on seminars for teachers.  The last seminar, eTwinning for Senior Management Teams in Schools, was aimed at Heads, Assistant Heads, College Principals and EOs.  All the seminars took place at the eLearning Centre in Floriana, between 15:30 – 17:30, and  the participants also received an eTwinning informative pack.

eTwinning Back to School Competition: End October Update

The eTwinning Back to School Competition is underway!   In order to participate in the Back to School Competition, you need to register a project on the eTwinning platform.  The first 50 teachers who register a project at the beginning of the scholastic year, will receive an eTwinning desk clock/pen holder.  All projects with a Maltese teacher registered in it between the beginning of Septmeber and the end of November 2011 will be eligible to participate in a lottery with the chance to win 2 digital video cameras for the school.  Participation in the lottery is automatic once the project is approved by the Maltese eTwinning National Support Service.

The eTwinning Back to School Campaign is on !

eTwinning Malta is marking the start of the new scholastic year, 2011-2012 with the eTwinning Back to School Campaign.  You can participate in a number of activities on a European level, plus you can also participate in the Back to School Competition, and win great prizes for your school.  Read letter circular CMeLD 129 – eTwinning Back to School Campaign 2011 to read how you can become eleigible and participate in the draw!

eTwinning Back to School Campaign Prize Giving

The eTwinning Back to School Campaign ended at the end of November 2010 and the lottery was drawn during the first week of December to reveal the winners of the digital resources kindly sponsored by IMS Ltd. and Exigy. The eTwinning National Support service visited the winning schools and presented these awards to the Heads of Schools and the participating teachers.

The Easi-View Visualizer was won by San Anton School, Mgarr.

The Easi-Scope Digital Microscope was won by St. Clare College, San Gwann Primary B.

Winners of the eTwinning Back to School Campaign

digital-devices1-150x150We are very pleased to announce that this year we had a record number of 72 projects with Maltese partners from different schools. There were 25 projects registered or joined in the Secondary schools and 47 in the Primary schools. We congratulate ourselves with all these participants and wish them all good luck in their project work. We would also like to inform them that if they need any help or support, they can always contact the eTwinning helpdesk on 25982150 or send us an email at etwinning@schoolnet.gov.mt.
