eTwinning Webinar for Maltese/eTwinning Plus teachers: Outcomes

On Friday 10th June 2016, teachers from Malta, Ukraine, Georgia and Tunisia participated in an eTwinning Webinar for Maltese and eTwinning Plus teachers. The webinar focused on sharing project ideas and trying to find new project partners online – essentially, a “Partner Finding Fair”. This was the first online PFF to be organised by the Maltese NSS and had quite encouraging and interesting results. The ideas discussed during the webinar were uploaded on the following Tricider decision-making online tool. You may view, scroll down, and vote for the best project idea listed. If you would also like to join any of the projects listed below, contact Ms. Amanda Debattista on the eTwinning National Support Service on etwinning@ilearn.edu.mt.

Online Training Opportunities – eTwinning Term 3

The eTwinning National Support Service is pleased to publish the schedule for online training sessions planned for the third term of the scholastic year. The training, which will be held in May/ June 2016, will be open to Maltese and Gozitan Educators (Teachers, Kindergarten Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and members of the Senior Management Teams in Schools) as well as educators hailing from eTwinning Plus Countries. These include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Tunisia. Thus, these online sessions will not only provide practical and invaluable insights on the various aspects of eTwinning and Online Collaborative Projects, but they will also help Maltese participants to become acquainted with other Educators across Europe and beyond.

eTwinning Plus – How to make yourself available for eTwinning Projects with ‘Plus’ Countries

In March of 2013, the European Commission launched the eTwinning Plus Project.  eTwinning Plus is a pilot that will see a select number of schools and teachers from Ukraine, Tunisia, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan join the thousands of eTwinning teachers who are already collaborating online.

The pilot is part of the European Commission’s Neighbourhood Policy, which encourages links and collaboration with those countries in our immediate neighbourhood.

eTwinners from Malta are currently able to invite teachers who hail from these countries into their existing projects. In order to do this, Maltese teachers can make themselves available to eTwinning Plus teachers by:

  1. Logging on the eTwinning Desktop
  2. Clicking on ‘Profile’
  3. Clicking on ‘Yes’ to ‘I am available for an eTwinning Plus Partnership’

For more information please refer to the eTwinning National Support Service – Send us an email on etwinning@ilearn.edu.mt (Amanda/Jacqueline).
